Entry Requirements to study at the University of Otago (UO), New Zealand
General entry requirements (exact requirements may vary from course to course)
Postgraduate Courses: At least 60 % in Bachelors or CGPA of 6.0 or higher (on a scale of 10). IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in the writing module and 6.0 in the others (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
Undergraduate Courses (after 12th): Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) with an average of 75% Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with an average of 70 %. IELTS: with no less than 6.0 in the writing module and 6.0 in the others (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
MBA Program: Bachelor’s degree with minimum three year’s work experience after graduation (which does not include summer placements, part-time or temporary work experience). IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6.5 in the writing module and 6.0 in the others (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Scholarships for Indian/International students:
University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship – NZ$27,000 stipend per annum plus a domestic tuition fees waiver for 36 months (excludes student services fee and insurance) Professional Doctorates (DClinDent, DMA, DBA, EDd) – NZ$27,000 stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for up to 36 months capped at the domestic rate (excludes student services fee and insurance).
University of Otago Academic Excellence Scholarship – Accommodation fees in a Residential College (at least $15,000) plus tuition fees (if not eligible for Fees Free) in First Year, $10,000 towards Residential College Accommodation fees, or tuition fees in Second and Third Year (subject to conditions) = >$35,000
University of Otago Ralph & Eve Seelye Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarships – Accommodation fees in a Residential College (at least $15,000) plus tuition fees (if not eligible for Fees Free) in First Year, $10,000 towards Residential College Accommodation fees, or tuition fees in Second and Third Year (subject to conditions) = >$35,000
The University of Otago, New Zealand Deadline for Applications:
The application deadline for admissions to the University of Otago would be 15th August. ILW India advises students to begin applying at least by early July, to allow for the university to assess and complete the paperwork.
