The World University Rankings, Times Higher Education – The Times Higher Education World University Rankings rated Birmingham 116 out of more than 1,250 universities across the globe. The rankings use 13 performance indicators to provide a comprehensive and balanced comparison between institutions. QS World University Rankings – Birmingham is 81st in this year’s QS World University Rankings, cementing our position in the top 100 universities globally and placing us as 14th amongst UK universities.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University World Rankings – Shanghai Jiao Tong University World Rankings ranked Birmingham as being in the top 101 – 150 out of 500 universities, establishing us as joint 9th out of the 37 UK universities to appear in the top 500.

 

Entry Requirements to Study at the University of Birmingham UK

General entry requirements (exact requirements may vary from course to course)

Postgraduate Courses: Bachelors Degree with 3 or 4 years of education from a recognized institute. IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6 in each component (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Undergraduate Courses (after 12th): Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with an average of 80%. IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6 in each component (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

MBA/Executive MBA program: Bachelors Degree with 3 or 4 years of education from a recognized institute. IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6 in each component (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Applications Deadline to study at the University of Birmingham

Deadline for Undergraduate Courses after 12th

The normal closing date to receive applications for full-time undergraduate courses is 15th January for September intake. If possible, try to ensure that your application reaches the university by this date. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service also known as UCAS send all applications it receives after 15 January (until 30 June) but the university can’t guarantee they will give the same level of consideration or offer as those that arrive by 15 January.

Deadline for Postgraduate Courses

Generally the University of Birmingham does not have an application deadline for postgraduate courses. However, we recommend all students to apply at least by 15th May for the September start.
