Tuition Fees:
Its FREE education in Germany. Believe it! German Federal Government funds primary to University education at Public Institutions. In some states in Germany, the tuition is zero, while in some Universities belonging to some States, you will need to pay a small amount of Euro 200 to Euro 500 per semester as “Semester Contribution”
This also means that your entry in to a top University in Germany is also very competitive. You must give it all during the application process and during your academic studies in India if you plan to apply to top Universities in Germany
Living Expenses and Other Expenses:
Between Euro 750 to Euro 1000 per month is what you should spend while studying in Germany for a reasonably good student life. If you live economically, then you will spend around Euro 500 per month. Living expense largely depends on your lifestyle, the German city that you are studying, and your preference of accommodation type.
Germany enjoys one of the highest standards of living but its comparatively equal to countries in Western Europe.

Health Insurance
If your health insurance cover at home is not recognised in Germany, you will have to take out an insurance policy from Germany. Public health insurance providers offer policies to students for around Euro 80 a month if you are under 30 and have not studied in Germany longer than 14 semesters. If yes, your premium automatically increases to Euro 160 per month or more.
