The application often starts with an online-form which has to be filled. Subjects in medicine, dentistry, pharmaceutics and animal health, the application has to be sent to a central office, www.hochschulstart.de provides more information. For all other programs the application has to be sent so the foreign office of the university or one has to apply with uni-assist. One can also apply through University web page.
First-year students:
Foreign applicants holding a higher education entrance qualification which is only conditionally comparable with a German qualification may also be admitted to a course of academic studies, but must pass an assessment test, the so-called Feststellungsprüfung (or in full: Prüfung zur Feststellung der Eignung ausländischer Studienbewerber für die Aufnahme eines Studiums an Hochschulen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland), before they can start studying. Alternatively, proof of one or two successfully completed academic years of study at a higher education institution in the home country may also be counted.
The DSH can only be taken at the university or higher education institution itself. TestDaF can be taken in Germany as well as abroad.
Graduate Studies – Applying for MBA or Masters in Germany:
GRE is not required by most of the universities in Germany for an international applicant to be considered for a Masters or a PhD. Your academic background is given consideration. To be admitted to a degree program, an application had to be sent either to the university of your choice or to uni-assist.
Step-wise process of what you need to do if you wish to study in Germany:
STEP 1: Select your programme and finalize your Universities. We will help you do that based on your interest area, career plan, current academic background and scores, budget, more.
STEP 2: Collect your documents and submit them to us. For a list of documents to apply to Universities in Germany, check this page of our website. Book your IELTS test date. We can help you do that. Simply call +91 9820864001 (between 10am and 7pm)
STEP 3: Make online or paper application as indicated by each University or apply through UniAssist. You will need to pay the application fee. We will help you plan your applications and do that for you, or shall help you fill out the forms correctly. Dispatch your documents to the right department in the University
STEP 4: Follow up with the Universities and ensure that they have received your documents and that nothing is missing. We will do that on your behalf and provide any additional information required by the University
STEP 5: Collect admission offers and plan your next move (visa process, accommodation, etc.). We will keep sending you the offers and also will keep you updated on new information and updates. We will also be assisting you with your SCHOLARSHIP application at this stage. Note: Most German Universities do NOT charge a tuition fee. However some do, and scholarships may be available (based on your profile) even in Home country
STEP 6: Finalize one University that you wish to join and pay a deposit as required by the University. We will help you make this crucial decision and also guide you on the financial matters, including how to transfer the deposit and getting you a confirmation from the University
STEP 7: Prepare your documents for the German student visa application. Book an appointment and apply for the visa. We will help you finalize your documents, check if they are in order and guide you in taking the visa appointment
STEP 8: Fly. Once you receive the visa, celebrate, buy your stuff, pack your bags, and fly. We will provide a pre-departure brief (eg. what to carry when you are going, about life in Ireland, etc.), help you connect with other students going to Ireland, help you book your accommodation and much more
