Business and Law January courses
DMU’s Faculty of Business and Law is home to Leicester Castle Business School, which offers a learning environment where students are given the opportunities and tools to think, create and inspire. You will benefit from strong links with major professional bodies and employers, giving you the chance to build your own professional network. Many of our graduates have gone onto work with leading employers such as the NHS, IBM and Toyota.
DMU also has accreditation and certifications from respected bodies including the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and more. Some of these are embedded within our courses or give you exemptions towards achieving them.
You’ll be taught in our purpose-built Hugh Aston building, which offers modern study facilities, such as IT labs, study suites, learning zones and a café. We also have a dedicated Trading Room, which has been installed with industry-standard software giving you experience of a real trading floor environment.

Computing and Engineering January courses
DMU has been teaching computing for over 50 years and we have a number of courses that are accredited by professional bodies such as BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. We also have links with renowned companies such as Hewlett Packard (HP), Deloitte UK, IBM, BT, Rolls Royce and Airbus UK. Our excellent facilities include the Game Development Studio, specialist forensic and security laboratories, computer science laboratories and an advanced mobile robotics and intelligent agents laboratory.
DMU’s engineering courses are delivered by academics who are active within the engineering industry. Research projects they’re involved in include the development of advanced silicon memory cells for the next generation of data storage, the creation of prosthetic limbs using recycled plastics and houses insulated using re-tasked plastic bottles. Postgraduate students are engaged in a curriculum that keeps pace with the latest research and help you develop advanced skills to further your career. Your studies will culminate in a major individual project that could be part of a current research project.
